MFW: Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 RTW

Dolce & Gabbana presented their Spring 2012 collection over the weekend during Milan Fashion Week and was the talk of the fashion industry.  Beautiful models pranced the runway dressed in the epitome of Italian designed dresses, body hugging laced gowns, and bejeweled corsets, all to the soundtrack of Sophia Loren singing “Mambo Italiano.”

The stars of the show were the large prints of fruits of vegetables that graced fun circle skirts, flirty shorts, and bra tops.  I’m on the fence with these prints.  On the one hand, I’m vacationing in one of the fabulous cities of Italy–like Milan, donning one of these looks.  On the other hand, I can’t help it but to picture Carmen Miranda vividly signing “Mamá yo Quiero”.

Either way, fresh squeezed juices of happiness will overfill our fashion hearts.
