From Macaroons to Makeup…YUMMY!

A delicious collaboration between French pastry house Laduree and Japanese cosmetics brand Albion, we bring you makeup MEANT to be ‘cakey’!

Macarons from Laduree

We would never have thought about it, but I guess that’s what make the Japanese so clever. What more perfect inspiration for a makeup line than these beautiful pastel shades of the most famous french pastry.

Albion announced the release of a Spring 2012 collection, out this month, of blushers, concealors and powder puffs, all inspired by and created in partnership with Laduree.

The highlight of the line, dubbed Les Merveilleuses de Laduree (fancy French for The Wonders of Laduree), is this Face Color Rose Lauderee (above), available in three appetite inducing shades. Pressed into the shape of rose petals and housed in a Faberge-ish egg receptacle, it’s a gift fit for a Russian….errr French….uh, I mean Japanese sweet face princess.

Here are some OTHER examples of makeup that’s almost good enough to eat!
