Helena Christensen Hot and Dangerous for Reebok

The supermodels are back, and definitely giving the newcomers a run for their money. Helena Christensen is spicing things up in this ad with her bondage bodysuit and Reeboks. Can you believe how good she looks at 43? She hardly needs to be wearing those Reeboks.

Jennifer Connelly and Shiseido Reunite

The luxurious Japanese cosmetics brand just signed Jennifer Connelly for their Future Solution LX premium skin care line ads campaign, starting to appear this fall. Shiseido is celebrating their 140th anniversary, and this isn’t their first time working with Connelly either. Connelly was featured in the Perky Jeans line advertisements in the 80s.

Here’s a look at one of the silly Japanese commercials of Jennifer Beals from back in the day:

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2012 – Tacky or Tasteful?

Jean Paul Gaultier channeled Amy Winehouse, with stylized details of beehived hair and winged eyeliner, for his Spring 2012 couture collection. No doubt, the looks are stunning and sexy. But, did Gaultier cross the line? Amy’s dad, Mitch Winehouse, has spoken out against the show in an Associated Press article saying “To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on.”

You guys decide.

This is our second and final day of coverage of the 2012 Golden Globes.  Yesterday we  discussed the glamorous hairstyles  that graced the red carpet. Today we’re showing the fabulous dresses donned by the Golden Globe winners.  Instead of us doing the dirty work, why don’t you decide which stars matched their acting skills to their fashion.  Tell us in the comments who was your favorite dressed winning celebrity.

OK, we can’t resist.  One of our most favorite red carpet looks are that Claire Danes and George Clooney.  Now, spill your beans below.

Beauty: We Loved These 5 Red Carpet Hairstyles at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes happened last Sunday (in case you’ve been living under a rock) and naturally everyone immediately always talks about the dresses (and we’ll talk tons tomorrow, so stay tuned!), but what about the one single detail that either make or break the dress?

I’m sure we can all agree that having a hot messy hairstyle will ruin the most ravishing of couture dresses.

So on that note… here are 5 GORGEOUS red carpet hairstyles we loved.  These dos didn’t outshine the dress, some were styled just to look clean and tamed,  others did their job by simply complimenting the entire look.

Our favorite hairstyle of the night was actually a red carpet trend! In the image above you’ll find some of Hollywood’s beautiful ladies donning headbands.  Michelle Williams in a vintage Fred Leighton for Forevermark headband, Charlize Theron in a blinged out Cartier headband and Busy Philipps in a simple, yet feminine slither of a headband.

Paula Patton at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Paula Patton went for a very a girly, traditional do. ”I envisioned a style with the sophisticated sexiness of Brigitte Bardot,” hairstylist Robert Steinken told PEOPLE of the cascading waves look he created.  He used Morrocanoil Frizz Control on Paula’s damp tresses before making a center part, pulling hair back close to the sides of her head and creating spirals with a one-inch curling iron.

Nicole Richie at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards

This hairstyle may have had to grown on some people before they started to actually “love” it. It’s a different yet classic take on the otherwise common ponytail.  Nicole wore sections of hair from her temples pinned back to create a pretty steep bump–if she had added one more inch, she would’ve been channeling the Jersey Shore.  BUT she didn’t, so she doesn’t.  It’s more old Holywood than anything.

Claire Danes at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Claire Danes wore a gorgeous statement dress whose party was on the backside.  Therefore, she went with a simple hairstyle that just acted as a backdrop to her sensational look. To soften the geometric neckline of her J. Mendel dress Claire went for a soft, feminine bun. The look was secured with only two hair pins, says her stylist Peter Butler.

Salma Hayek in Guuci at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards

Salma Hayek wow’d, us as usual, with her plump knockers, but it was her art deco inspired dress by Gucci that actually stole the show. Her sultry curves worked the dress beautifully, but it was her hair that helped complete the look.  Stylist Robert Vetica  achieved perfect waves with the help of a half-inch curling iron and extensions.

Let us know which is your favorite!  You can view more Golden Globe red carpet hairstyles over at People StyleWatch.

OMG of the Day: The Fly Named After Beyoncé

Who said the title of the all time, flyest diva was only meant for the human lady that is as artistic as she is demanding? Not this quite clever CSIRO researcher.  Behold, a fly discovered over thirty years ago and her glamorous golden lower abdomen–beyoncae.

Bryan Lessard, the scientist responsible for all this frenzy decidedly named this fly Scaptia (Plinthina) beyoncae because  the fly’s brilliant gold color makes it the “all time diva of flies”.

Fly beyoncae, named after Beyoncé

Meet beyoncae, the fly named after Beyoncé. How about THEM abs.

He adds,

“It was the unique dense golden hairs on the fly’s abdomen that led me to name this fly in honour of the performer Beyoncé as well as giving me the chance to demonstrate the fun side of taxonomy – the naming of species”.

Fun indeed!

But it’s not just the radiant sexy abs that his fly has in common with the newest mommy to hit the tabloid radar, beyoncae’s species happens to have been collected in 1981, the same year Beyoncé was born.

Now, if that doesn’t make you go OMG…

We can all agree that the year was packed with fashion faux pas and quite amusing looks (remember Lady Gaga in the egg at the GRAMMYS, or Katy Perry’s Judy Jetson doo?). However, the beautifully dressed women of the year sometimes tend to go unnoticed because of the shock absorbed from siting the unkempt.

With that in mind, we decided to highlight the 10 best dressed celebrities of 2011, rather than worst. We scanned the web, asked around, and finally decided that when searching for a list like this…we might as well go to the bible of fashioning opinions–VOGUE.

A few surprises and a few ladies that slid in as a result of a last minute film debut, but all are fashionably fabulous.  Let us know if you think someone was left out, or…if someone on the list doesn’t quite deserve it.  As always, we love to here your opinions.

So, without further ado, here are the 10 Best Dressed Celebrities of 2011 according to VOGUE.  You can view the official list with beautiful images on VOGUE.
